Laura Deiulio received her MA and PhD in Germanic Languages and Literatures from Princeton University. At Christopher Newport University, she teaches all levels of German classes as well as courses on literature in translation. Her research focuses on German Romanticism and women writers. She has published essays on Rahel Levin Varnhagen, Esther Gad, Lou Andreas-Salomé, and Anna Seghers, as well as the co-edited volume Gender, Collaboration and Authorship in German Culture: Literary Joint Ventures 1750-1850 (Bloomsbury, 2019). Currently, Laura is working on a book-length study of Rahel Levin Varnhagen’s thought.
