- MSW in Social Work-Healthcare, University of Pittsburgh
- BA in Psychology, Taylor University
With a Master of Social Work and a PhD in Developmental/Educational Psychology, both from the University of Pittsburgh, I have over 20 years of experience as faculty member.
Teaching
I teach primarily Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare, and a Senior Seminar in Social Work. Other relevant areas of instruction include research methods, social psychology, and social work practice.
Research
My most recent research is in the area of cognitive processes and social work. More specifically, exploring the ways in which human cognition creates challenges in unbiased client assessment, and obstacles to social change.
