Colors

Color is key to keeping CNU’s look consistent.

Using CNU Blue and Silver across materials reinforces our identity and professionalism.

Accent colors can add energy and emphasis, but they should always support, not replace, our primary colors. The secondary colors listed below were originally created for the Strategic Compass and are now part of our official color palette.

Colors to Avoid

Red is not an approved university color and should not be used in text, graphics, or design elements associated with official Christopher Newport materials.

Gold should be used sparingly and reserved for prestigious occasions (i.e. Commencement) so it maintains its special meaning.

Contact OCPR for official files and guidance on proper usage of logos, fonts, and colors. When in doubt, reach out to branding@cnu.edu to ensure your materials align with University standards.
