The Captains and their fans enjoyed a remarkable weekend of success, setting up as many as seven teams to either win conference championships or NCAA tournament bids or both.
You can read about each team and their postseason plans on the CNU Athletics website, but here is a quick summary:
- Women’s Tennis won the C2C conference title and an NCAA bid.
- Men’s Tennis earned an NCAA bid.
- Women’s Lacrosse earned an NCAA bid and will host first and second-round games.
- Men’s Lacrosse earned an NCAA bid and will host first and second-round games.
- Track and Field won the C2C conference crown.
- Softball earned the regular season C2C title and will host the C2C conference championship.
- Baseball earned the regular season C2C title and will host the conference championship.
Because so many athletes will be competing this weekend, the University is holding a special commencement ceremony for student-athletes in the Class of 2024 on Wednesday, May 8, at 2 p.m. It will include all the pomp and circumstance of the University’s traditional ceremony, held this year on Saturday, May 11.
